Milan's healthcare has a world-class quality level. This conclusion was made by the prestigious American magazine Newsweek, which has recently published a rating of the 200 best hospitals in the world by the following departments:
"Where will you have access to the best tests and the highest level of service?"
"Where will you get the most effective treatment?" - such questions were asked by experts who analyzed all the data at their disposal.
And together with 'Statista' company, the leading processor of market and consumer data, we have made up the following rating.
22nd place - Centro Cardiologico Monzino
25th place - Ospedale San Raffaele
30th place - Policlinico San Donato
The ranking also includes Humanitas and Niguarda hospitals.
In terms of endocrinology, the Milanese reference point is Ospedale San Raffaele, which is the sixth hospital in the world in terms of treatment and services offered by Newsweek's Top Specialized Hospitals in the World 2021 ranking.
Oncology departments are also at a high level: the first in Milan is LEO, which is ranked 11th in the world!
The European Institute of Oncology is ranked 15th, Humanitas 25th, Niguarda 49th, and San Rafaele is at the bottom of list. There are 7 hospitals in Milan ranked among the top 200 in the world, and that is definitely a significant amount.
